Dr. Edward R. Fritz, DDS - Founder and Director
Dr. Fritz earned his BA at the College of Wooster in Ohio. After receiving his degree in dentistry from Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, he worked as a Dental Officer at Williams Air Force Base in Arizona. In 1981, Dr. Fritz went into private practice. Chairside Dental Academy was founded in 1994.
Active in the community, Dr. Fritz has served on the Advisory Board of Sunshine Acres Children's Home for many years. Dr. Fritz is also a past member of both the Mesa Optimists Club and the Elks.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Fritz enjoys movies, tennis, martial arts, oriental food, classical piano, and most of all, spending time with his son, Mason.
Dolores - Instructor
Hello, my name is Dolores, I am an Arizona native from Springerville who has been in the dental field since 1992 , having graduated from Apollo College in 1992.
I have been an instructor with Chairside Dental Academy since 2003. I have a zest for teaching and enjoy helping students enter the dental field with any help that I can give. I enjoy traveling, scrapbooking, spending time with my husband and our puppies.
Kristie - Instructor
Hi, my name is Kristie DeCarlo and I am currently the chair-side assistant to Dr. Fritz. I am a native Arizonan and love living here. My husband’s name is Aaron and we have been married for three years, and we have a house full of animals, which we love and cherish. My passion outside of work is cooking and spending time with friends and family. I graduated from Chairside Dental Academy and went directly into Oral Surgery. That was not my cup of tea so I pursued General Dentistry. I was excited to join the New Health Dental team. I love taking care of our patients and working with our students. Being a graduate of Chairside, I have a great appreciation for our school and our students. It is fun and rewarding to see students learn why we do what we do. Welcome to all at New Health Dental and Chairside Academy. I look forward to meeting you.
Mindi - Instructor
Hi, my name is Mindi. I am from Snowflake and have been living here in the valley for the past few years. I attended White Mountain School of Dental Assisting for my training in 2000. I have worked for several general dentists and absolutely love the dental field. I find assisting very satisfying and very rewarding. I love being an instructor at Chairside Dental Academy because of the practical design of the program and the hands-on experience the students are able to obtain. If I had any spare time, I would enjoy anything outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
Lora - Instructor
Lora was born in Dayton, Ohio, and has lived in AZ for 28 years. She is a graduate of Apollo College, and has been a dental assistant for 22 years. She has experience in General Dentistry, Endo, Ortho, front office and office management. She is currently working as a back office assistant in a family/general practice.
Lora has 2 daughters ages 21 and 16. One is a Sr. at ASU and the other is a Jr. in High School. Her hobbies are reading, music, dancing, movies and spending time with family and friends.
Sarah - Instructor
My name is Sarah. I am a former student from Chairside Dental Academy. I recently went back to help instruct the classes because I had such a great experience there. I am engaged and have an 8 month old little girl who takes up most of my life. Other things I enjoy are art, modeling, teaching and spending time with my family.
